Surgical Approaches to the Facial Skeleton is a thorough and systematic overview of the commonly used approaches to the craniofacial skeleton. It is written for otolaryngologists, plastic surgeons, and oral and maxillofacial surgeons. The text is easy to read, and there are over 500supplementary graphics, illustrations, and photographs. New enhancements to this second edition include numerous intraoperative photographs, modifications of previous text, and descriptions of additional surgical approaches.
The book is divided into 14 chapters jointly written by the coauthors. It begins with a brief description of surgical principles and subsequently discusses orbital, coronal, transoral, and transfacial surgical approaches as well as approaches to the temporomandibular joint and nasal skeleton. Each chapter is well organized and focuses on pertinent anatomy and technical aspects that the authors find useful.
