This is the second edition of this textbook, which deals with the use
of lasers in cutaneous and aesthetic surgery. Although 8 different authors
contributed to the book, the text is exceptionally consistent. It may be of
interest to all those who care for the skin, including physicians and many
allied health personnel.
The book is divided into 12 chapters. Each chapter is designed with
a straightforward "how-to" approach to laser surgery. More than 360 color
photographs taken before, during, and after laser procedures illustrate key
points in the text. Each chapter has a list of "practical points" that are
separated from the rest of the text as boxed highlights. By emphasizing the
essential aspects of the laser application being discussed, these practical
points enhance the "how-to" nature of the textbook. The end of each chapter
