Editor's Comment
EUGENE BORTNICK, MD, is a facial plastic surgeon and realistic painter. He works primarily in watercolor, with emphasis on portraits and figures. However, his art includes other media, such as acrylics, pastels, and oils. The 2 paintings here include I. B. Goldman (Figure 1). It shows Goldman in a typical after-surgery pose, with his politically incorrect but omnipresent cigar. The second is OR #4 (Figure 2), the painting from the sketch and photographs made by Bortnick.
