The symposium for rhinoplasty took place in Chicago, Ill, from June 15, to June 20, 1999, and has been acknowledged by many participants as one of the best rhinoplasty courses. More than 400 participants representing 40 different countries attended. The course was designed for surgical specialists interested in rhinoplasty. Both experienced rhinoplasty surgeons and surgeons beginning their careers or furthering their training were present at the course.
The codirectors, M. Eugene Tardy, Jr, MD (Figure 1), and Dean M. Toriumi, MD, selected guest faculty who represented the disciplines of facial plastic surgery and plastic surgery.
