Giant Rapidly Involuting Congenital Hemangioma of the Face

15-Year Follow-up

Juan Carlos Lopez-Gutierrez, MD; Mercedes Diaz, MD; Zoraida Ros, MD

Arch Facial Plast Surg. 2005;7:316-318.

Rapidly involuting congenital hemangiomas are rare variants of congenital hemangiomas. They are different from the more common infantile hemangiomas in that their presentation, clinical course, and histopathologic features are dissimilar. We report a case of a giant rapidly involuting congenital hemangioma of the face, with a 15-year follow-up and a review of this rare entity.
